Which Wise statement format to download

On the website, Wise offers statements as PDF, XLSX (Excel), CSV, MT940, QIF or CAMT.053 (version 10 only); the app offers PDF, CSV and XLSX. For RowBalance, choose MT940 on the website: the file carries an opening and closing balance, and RowBalance checks the transactions against both. PDF and CSV also work. RowBalance does not read XLSX or QIF.

Wise statements cover 365 days at a time

Each Wise statement covers up to a 365-day period, so a longer history means several statements. They include only transactions made through Wise currency accounts. The separate transaction history export, as CSV or PDF, also covers up to 365 days and works on the website, not the mobile app.

How to do it

  1. On the Wise website, open a currency, choose Statements and reports and download an MT940 statement.
  2. Drop the file above and check that the opening and closing balances agree.
  3. Export Excel or CSV free, or QBO, Xero CSV and OFX on a paid plan.

Questions

Does RowBalance read Wise camt.053 files?

Wise offers camt.053 in version 10 only, and RowBalance has not been tested on that version, so download MT940 instead.
