Convert a Nationwide statement to Excel

Nationwide keeps 36 months of PDF statements in the Internet Bank and the app, and shows 15 months of transactions online. RowBalance turns the statements into Excel or CSV, read in your browser and checked against the statement’s balances.

Not every Nationwide statement layout has been tested, so try one statement free and check the balance result before you convert a batch. RowBalance is an independent product of Forclev LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nationwide. Nationwide is a trademark of its owner, named only to describe statement compatibility.

Why the Nationwide midata file stops 31 days short

Nationwide’s midata download gives all your current account transactions for a 12-month period, but it won’t include the data from 31 days before the date of download. In internet banking, select the current account, then Transactions, Download transactions and Download midata. The mobile app doesn’t support it. For the latest month, use the statement PDFs.

Nationwide statements, one at a time

Current account, savings and credit card statements from the last 36 months are under Documents in the Internet Bank and My Documents in the app. Nationwide says that for more than one statement you repeat the steps for each. Drop them all above together: a paid plan converts them in one batch and merges them into one file.

How to do it

  1. Download your statement PDFs from Documents (Internet Bank) or My Documents (app).
  2. Drop them above and check each balance badge.
  3. Export Excel or CSV free, or OFX, QBO and Xero CSV on a paid plan.

Excel and CSV are free for up to 5 pages a day, or 10 with a free account. QuickBooks, Xero and OFX files and batch conversion are on paid plans, from a $9 one-off pass: see pricing or go back to the converter.
