Convert a Lloyds Bank statement to Excel

Lloyds Internet Banking can export recent transactions, but its limits make the PDF statement the practical source for anything longer.

Downloading the PDF

In Internet Banking on desktop, select the account, open the account menu, choose to download or print a statement and pick the period. Several years of statements are kept online.

The CSV export is limited

The transaction export is desktop-only and covers a limited recent window with a capped number of rows per file (reported as 12 months and 150 transactions; confirm current limits with Lloyds). For a full year, converting the monthly PDFs is more reliable.

Layout notes

Lloyds statements typically use Date, Description, Type, In, Out and Balance columns, where Type is a short code such as DD or FPI. RowBalance keeps the description together, reads UK dates and checks the running balance.

How to do it

  1. Download the Lloyds PDF statements.
  2. Drop them above and check the balance badges.
  3. Export Excel or CSV, or OFX, QBO and Xero CSV on a paid plan.

Excel and CSV are free for up to 5 pages a day. QuickBooks, Xero and OFX files and batch conversion are on paid plans, from a $9 one-off pass: see pricing or go back to the converter.
