Download or convert a Barclays statement to CSV
Barclays has two separate places for your data: a CSV export on the transactions screen and PDF statements under Statements and documents.

Exporting CSV from Barclays
In online banking on a desktop browser, open the account, view all transactions, set a date range, search, and use the export option at the bottom of the list to choose a file format. The export lives on the transactions screen rather than in Statements and documents, and the mobile app does not offer it.
Getting PDF statements
Statements and documents lists each statement period as a PDF. Use these when you need the opening and closing balance, or when your date range is longer than the export allows.
Layout of a UK PDF statement
UK statements list Date, Description, Money out, Money in and Balance, with dates like 12 Mar 2026. The balance is not always printed on every row, and descriptions for card payments, direct debits and Faster Payments often wrap onto a second line. RowBalance joins them, reads the UK date format and checks opening balance plus movement against the closing balance.
How to do it
- Download the PDF statements from Statements and documents.
- Drop them above and check each balance badge.
- Export CSV or Excel. QBO, Xero CSV and OFX are on paid plans.
Excel and CSV are free for up to 5 pages a day. QuickBooks, Xero and OFX files and batch conversion are on paid plans, from a $9 one-off pass: see pricing or go back to the converter.
Questions
Why does the Barclays CSV have no balances?
The export is a list of transactions and not the formal statement. Convert the PDF if you need the opening and closing balances.
Does it read UK dates correctly?
Yes. Dates such as 03/04/2026 are read day first, and the order is confirmed from the statement period.
Is RowBalance affiliated with Barclays?
No. Barclays is a trademark of Barclays PLC, used only to describe compatibility.
