CSV, QFX or QBO: which U.S. Bank download to use

U.S. Bank’s help page lists three download types in online banking: Spreadsheet (.CSV), Quicken (.QFX) and QuickBooks (.qbo). Downloads cover up to 18 months of transaction history; for anything older, the page points you to your statements. It also says transaction downloads aren’t available in the U.S. Bank Mobile App, so use a browser.

U.S. Bank e-statements for older months

U.S. Bank says you can view up to seven years of e-statements in digital banking: under Accounts on the website, or Statements & docs in the app menu. Those PDFs cover the months a download can’t reach. RowBalance reads the rows from where the text sits on the page and checks the opening balance plus the transactions against the closing balance.

QuickBooks files from older U.S. Bank statements

Can I download U.S. Bank transactions in the mobile app?

No. U.S. Bank’s help page says transaction downloads aren’t available in the mobile app. Sign in to online banking in a browser, or open your e-statements under Statements & docs.
