Convert a TD Bank statement to Excel

TD Bank online banking lets you review up to 7 years of statements and download account information to Quicken or QuickBooks. RowBalance turns the PDF statements into Excel or CSV, read in your browser and checked against the statement’s balances.

Not every TD Bank statement layout has been tested, so try one statement free and check the balance result before you convert a batch. RowBalance is an independent product of Forclev LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by TD Bank. TD Bank is a trademark of its owner, named only to describe statement compatibility.

Quicken, QuickBooks or PDF: getting TD Bank data into a spreadsheet

TD’s online banking page says you can download account information directly to Quicken or QuickBooks, and its security upgrade page says the OFX platform connects TD accounts to Quicken Desktop and QuickBooks Desktop via Direct Connect, which you re-establish under Financial Tools Access Management. That route sends the data to the software. For Excel or CSV, convert the PDF statements.

What a TD Bank statement contains

TD’s guide to reading a statement lists an account summary, account information, transaction history, fees and charges, check images or a check summary, and interest earned, with entries showing the date, description, check number and amount. RowBalance reads the transaction rows from where the text sits on the page and checks the opening balance plus the transactions against the closing balance.

How to do it

  1. Sign in to TD Bank online banking and download the statement PDFs you need.
  2. Drop them above and check each balance badge.
  3. Export Excel or CSV free, or QBO, Xero CSV and OFX on a paid plan.

Excel and CSV are free for up to 5 pages a day, or 10 with a free account. QuickBooks, Xero and OFX files and batch conversion are on paid plans, from a $9 one-off pass: see pricing or go back to the converter.
